Hauganes is a small village located in Eyjafjörður in the north of Iceland and has about 137 inhabitants and fishing is the main industry in the village but is also where you can take a Whale Watching boat trip. The name Hauganes means "mound peninsula" and this small community is located on a peninsula, north of Akureyri
