Lacing your Wedding Gown

There are a few things you should know before you start.

The first is that when lacing the gown, the lacing should not be twisted because it looks nicer when the fabric is flat, and it will be impossible to correct the twisting after the gown is laced up.

Second, you will start lacing from the top so that you end at the bottom.

Third, you will need to allow between 20 - 30 minutes to have your dress laced on your Wedding Day

Traditionally it is the Maid of Honour or the Mother of the Bride who has the task of lacing the Bride into her Wedding Gown, so she may need to practice before the big day!
