Queen Matilda of Scotland was the daughter of King Malcolm III of Scotland and his wife, Queen Margaret, and was married to King Henry I of England.  In them, the dynasies of Norman Kings and English Kings, were united and England and Scotland became politically closer.  It is said that her husband, Henry, adored her.
